Hi, I'm
Mechanical Engineering Student · Northeastern University, Boston
Hi, I'm Ryan, a mechanical engineering (BSME) student at Northeastern University. This is my portfolio! It covers some of my selected projects, which span the topics of CAD, PCB design, embedded software, 3D printing, and more.
The goals of all my projects (no matter how different they may seem) are to improve people's lives; whether that's investigating a solution to a complex surgical problem, providing a template for beginners to learn from, or simply making people laugh.
I'm looking for opportunities in engineering where I can put my skills to work, fixing problems in the real world.
Things I've designed, built, and tinkered with on my own.
A 3D-printed benchtop centrifuge with an 8-tube rotor, running at up to 3000 RPM.

A servo-driven arm with five rotational axes and a parallel-jaw gripper, built around a hand-derived inverse kinematics solution.

A two-wheeled robot that uses ultrasonic range sensors and wall-following logic to traverse an unmapped maze.

A set of open-source lab tools for a high school biotech classroom: a PCR thermocycler, a gel electrophoresis rig, and a cuvette tray.
View project →Projects I've contributed to as part of a team or club.
A scalpel-mounted electrode and amplifier chain that estimates distance to a peripheral nerve from its stimulated response.
View project →Team lead for three antweight combat robots, covering spinner, frame, and drivetrain design through to competition.
View project →I'm always open to new opportunities, collaborations, or just a chat. Feel free to reach out.
